About Us

Don Long operated his own lawn and garden retail store beginning in the 1950's. In 1969 Don pioneered the first zero turning radius mower (known as "Ram") into the state of Iowa.

In 1973, Dixon Industries acquired the Ram patent rights, changed the name to Dixon ZTR and retained Don Long (doing business as) Enterprises Inc. as the exclusive Distributor of this revolutionary mower in Iowa. Five years later Don was appointed the Nebraska Distributor.

Today, over 35 years later, Don's "memory" and "vision" lives on through the over 125 dealers and 30,000 satisfied Dixon mower owners.
